Shelby E. Peterson

Shelby E. Peterson, LCPC, is a skilled mental health professional with extensive experience in school-based and outpatient clinical settings. Since December 2019, Shelby has worked at Sweetser as a School-Based Clinician and Outpatient Clinician, conducting comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing individual and family counseling. Prior to this, Shelby served as a School-Based Clinician at Woodfords Family Services, where responsibilities included classroom observations, counseling, and training behavioral health professionals. Shelby's career also includes roles as a Senior Behavior Health Professional, Direct Support Professional, and internship experiences that demonstrate a commitment to supporting diverse populations. Shelby holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Expressive Arts Therapy from William James College and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of New England.
