Merlin Crossley has an extensive academic career, currently serving as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Quality at UNSW since January 2010, with previous roles including Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research and Enterprise, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic and Student Life. Prior to UNSW, Merlin Crossley held various positions at the University of Sydney from September 1995 to December 2009, including Professor of Molecular Genetics and Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research). Educational qualifications include a DPhil in Molecular Biology from the University of Oxford and a BSc in Microbiology and Genetics from the University of Melbourne. Earlier research experience includes roles at Harvard Medical School as a Research Associate and at Oxford University as a Post-doctoral Researcher.
