Amanda Cameron is an accomplished researcher and educator currently engaged in Electrochemical Double Layer Capacitor R&D at the University of Newcastle since September 2022, focusing on carbon electrochemical capacitors. As an HDR Student Representative on the UoN Research Committee and an Associate Lecturer for laboratory demonstrations, Amanda contributes significantly to both academic and student support roles. Previous experiences include mentoring Year 8 female students in STEM projects through HunterWiSE and working as a research scientist at MCi Carbon, as well as undertaking an industrial internship at Gelion on zinc-based batteries. Amanda's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrochemistry, a Bachelor of Science Honours in Chemistry, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, all from the University of Newcastle.
