Spyros Makridakis

Spyros Makridakis is a distinguished academic with a robust background in statistics and forecasting. Currently, Spyros serves as a Professor at the University of Nicosia, leading the MOFC – Makridakis Open Forecast Center since June 2017. Additionally, Spyros holds the titles of Professor Emeritus and Research Professor at INSEAD, where involvement dates back to September 1970. Previously, Spyros was the Rector of Neapolis University Pafos from June 2014 to May 2017. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Statistics from NYU Stern School of Business (1970), a PhD in Statistics with a focus on Forecasting from New York University (1969), and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Piraeus (1964).
