Chinmay Singh has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and organizations. From 2021 to 2022, they worked as a Student Researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In this role, they conducted research under the guidance of Dr. Michael Cargill, focusing on inducing yeast promoter expression.

In 2022, Chinmay also interned at the Troester Lab in the Epidemiology Department at UNC-Chapel Hill. Their responsibilities included documenting data, analyzing tumors, and utilizing NanoDrop machines to record DNA concentrations for the Carolina Breast Cancer Study's Third Phase.

In the same year, they joined the National Beta organization and founded the Senior Beta Club at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM). As the President and Founder, they successfully organized and led various service projects and led students to state and national conventions, where they won multiple awards.

Continuing their journey in 2023, Chinmay co-founded and co-hosted BioCast, a project centered around bioengineering, alongside Parth Shirolkar. Additionally, they took on the role of President of Engineering World Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Chinmay also served as a peer mentor for students in BIOL 103, providing tutoring and support.

Furthermore, Chinmay engaged in two different research positions at UNC-Chapel Hill. As an Undergraduate Researcher in the Stein Lab in the Neuroscience Department, they utilized brain organoids derived from iPSCs of patients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to understand the mechanisms of cortical hyper expansion in ASD. In the Zylka Lab, they aimed to resolve nociceptive pain using spinal macrophages and examined efficacy through various techniques.

Chinmay Singh completed their high school education at Union Academy from 2014 to 2020. From 2020 to 2022, they attended the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, earning a High School Diploma with a focus on Biology/Biological Sciences. Currently, from 2022 to 2026, they are pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering simultaneously at both North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
