Jeffrey Bardzell

Jeffrey Bardzell currently serves as the Dean of the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a position held since April 2024. Prior to this role, Bardzell was at Penn State University from August 2020 to April 2024, where responsibilities included serving as Associate Dean of Faculty and Graduate Affairs and Associate Dean of Graduate and Undergraduate Studies. Between August 2004 and July 2020, Bardzell was a Professor and Director of Human-Computer Interaction/Design at Indiana University Bloomington, where Bardzell also held the title of Associate Professor. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy from Indiana University Bloomington (2004), a Master of Arts from Indiana University Bloomington (1995), and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Mary Washington (1992).
