Lance Brown

Lance Brown has extensive experience in both public safety and athletic management. Currently serving as a part-time Athletic Event Supervisor for football at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since August 2019, Lance also volunteers as a firefighter at the Swift Creek Fire Department. With a long-standing career in law enforcement, Lance has held the position of Police First Sergeant at Duke University Police Department since May 2013 and previously served as a Police Sergeant at Nassau County Police Department until retirement in May 2013. Additionally, Lance has significant military experience as a Colonel in the US Army Reserves since July 1985. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Excelsior University and various certificates in Athletic Administration and Security Management.
