Nicole Merritt

Nicole Merritt serves as the Associate Director for Student and Family Engagement and previously held the position of Assistant Director for Campus Visit Experiences at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro since April 2021. Responsibilities include planning and overseeing campus visits and admissions events, supervising student tour guides, and engaging in first-year recruitment within local counties. Prior experience includes roles as an Admissions Counselor at both the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Greensboro College, with a focus on first-year student recruitment in various regions of North Carolina. Nicole also has experience as a tutor in Spanish and Earth Science at the UNCG Academic Achievement Center and as a lifeguard at Fort Bragg MWR. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in English: Medieval and Renaissance Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Studies at the same institution, with anticipated completion in January 2027.
