Dewayne Black

Dewayne Black is an experienced professional with a substantial background in both academia and the chemical industry. As an Adjunct Professor of Chemistry at the University of North Florida since August 2021, Dewayne brings extensive industry knowledge gained during a long career at Phillips 66, where roles included Senior Fellow, Manager of Innovation & Research, and Manager of Refining R&D from 1995 until June 2021. Dewayne holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where studies were completed between 1983 and 1988. Currently self-employed, Dewayne continues to contribute to the field while sharing expertise with students.
