Kara Yancey Barber

Kara Yancey Barber is a seasoned development professional with extensive experience in higher education and nonprofit sectors. Presently serving as a Major Gift Officer at The Bolles School since May 2024, Kara also holds the role of Assistant Director of Development at the University of North Florida's Coggin College of Business, alongside the position of Assistant Director for the Center for Entrepreneurship since July 2020. Prior positions include Development Manager at the American Diabetes Association and various roles at Jacksonville University, culminating in the title of Director of the Student Solutions Center. Earlier experience includes managing communications and tournament administration for the Florida State Golf Association. Kara holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Florida State University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of North Florida.
