Shahaf Bareni

Shahaf (Shay) Bareni is currently a Doctoral Student at the University of North Texas since May 2022 and has been an elite athlete specializing in high jump, representing Israel in competitions worldwide while training for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games with USA Track & Field since January 2018. Bareni has extensive experience as a certified personal trainer, operating independently since January 2015, and previously serving at UNT Rec Sports as a facility coordinator since August 2012, alongside positions at Larry North Total Fitness and AMPD Performance. Bareni served in the Israel Defense Forces as an Administrative Secretary from November 2008 to October 2010, and gained retail experience at Adidas Israel. Educationally, Bareni holds a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of North Texas, completed in 2015.
