Alexander Blachly

Alexander Blachly is a distinguished music professional with extensive experience in both academia and choral direction. As the Founder Director of Pomerium since June 1972, Alexander has led the ensemble in its musical pursuits. In addition, Alexander has held the position of Professor of Music at the University of Notre Dame since 1993, where contributions to music education have been significant. Simultaneously, Alexander has directed the Notre Dame Chorale and previously directed Ancient Voices from 1986 to 1993. Alexander completed a PhD in Music at Columbia University, further solidifying a profound commitment to the field of music.
