Gabriel Mitchell

Gabriel (Gabi) Mitchell is a Visiting Fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States since February 2025 and serves as the Director of Undergraduate Studies at the University of Notre Dame since August 2021. Prior to these roles, Gabriel held various positions at Mitvim - The Israeli Institute for Regional Foreign Policies from 2013 to August 2021, including Director of External Relations, Policy Fellow, US Representative, and Israel-Turkey Project Coordinator. Between January 2018 and June 2020, Gabriel was the Associate Director at Kivunim. Other experience includes a Graduate Research Assistant position at Virginia Tech from 2014 to 2017 and a Research Fellow role at the Hudson Institute from 2015 to 2016. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Government and International Affairs from Virginia Tech, an MA in Political Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a BA in European & Middle Eastern history from The Ohio State University.
