Caroline Bergmann

Caroline Bergmann currently serves as the Director of the Bio-Support Unit at the University of Nottingham's Medical School, a position held since August 2021. In addition, Caroline has maintained various roles at the University of Oxford since November 2006, including Visiting Research Scientist, Named Veterinary Surgeon, Veterinary Surgeon, and Postdoctoral Researcher. Caroline has been a Principal Research Scientist at BBSRC since January 2019 and was a Principal Investigator in Animal Welfare at the Wellcome Trust from April 2014 to June 2021. Previous experience includes a postdoctoral research position at the University of Cambridge and work as a Veterinarian at the Equestrian Stud Centre. Caroline holds a Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine and Science from Vetmeduni and a PhD in Veterinary Sciences/Veterinary Clinical Sciences from The University of Freiburg.
