Ian Wiggins

Research Area Lead at University of Nottingham

Ian Wiggins is a highly experienced professional with a strong background in electrical and electronics engineering, audio acoustics, and computer systems engineering. Currently serving as Research Area Lead and Senior Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham since 2012, Wiggins also holds the position of Module Convenor for BMedSci Hearing Healthcare. Additionally, Wiggins contributed as a Consultant for the World Health Organization from February 2021 to March 2022, leading the development of the WHO Global Standard for Safe Listening Venues and Events. Earlier career experience includes working as an Acoustic Engineer at Sandy Brown from 2007 to 2009. Wiggins holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Nottingham, a Master of Science (MS) from The University of Salford, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) from the University of Warwick.
