Yuwei Xu

Yuwei Xu 徐玉炜 is an accomplished academic in the field of education, currently serving as Co-Director of Taught Courses and Associate Professor in Early Childhood Education at the University of Nottingham since September 2021. Concurrently, Yuwei Xu is Co-Editor-in-Chief for both the British Educational Research Journal and the journal Pedagogy, Culture & Society, and also holds the position of Co-Editor-in-Chief for Children & Society, an international journal on childhood research. Additionally, Yuwei Xu has been an Honorary Lecturer at IOE - UCL's Faculty of Education and Society since August 2019, where supervision of PhD students occurs on topics related to female engineering students and academic identities. Previous experience includes a role as Lecturer in Children and Family Studies at the University of Portsmouth from September 2016 to August 2019. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Educational Studies from the University of Glasgow, a Master's degree in Child Studies from King's College London, and a Bachelor's degree in Pre-school Education from Shanxi University, along with further research study at The University of Hong Kong.
