Jeff Sorensen

Jeff Sorensen is a seasoned leader in entrepreneurship and social innovation, currently serving as the Director of Entrepreneurship and the Lundquist Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Oregon since September 2022. Previously, Jeff held the position of Director for Social Innovation at the University of Michigan from September 2015 to August 2022, where responsibilities included founding a new department, managing a substantial budget, and overseeing a team of 40 staff members. As Co-Founder and Director of optiMize from September 2012 to August 2022, Jeff contributed to one of the largest student founder communities globally. Additionally, Jeff served as an instructor at the University of California, Los Angeles, teaching online courses on social innovation and delivering workshops for international student cohorts. Jeff holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Michigan, obtained in December 2013.
