Josh Penfold

Josh Penfold, MBA, serves as the General Manager of Cloud Platform Engineering at Datacom since September 2021 and is a co-leader of the South Island VMware User Group (VMUG) since March 2019. With a diverse background in technology and operations, Josh previously held key positions at Computer Concepts Limited, where responsibilities included overseeing Cloud Platform and Security Products as Head of Operations and developing new teams in high-growth environments as Infrastructure Manager and Team Lead for End User Computing. Experience also includes consulting for Alpine Energy Group Limited and leading infrastructure teams at KiwiRail, along with significant roles at Canterbury District Health Board, Gen-i, Crane Distribution NZ Ltd, and the Ministry of Health New Zealand. Josh holds an MBA from the University of Otago, completed in July 2021.
