Kirstie Ross is an experienced museum professional currently serving as Head Curator at the University of Otago since June 2023. Prior to this role, Kirstie held the position of Senior Curator of Cultural Heritage at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery from September 2018 to June 2023, and worked as a History Curator at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa from February 2004 to August 2018. Kirstie's earlier roles include Ephemera Librarian at Special Collections, Auckland City Libraries from December 2000 to February 2004, and a Freelance Historian for Waitangi Tribunal/Crown Forestry Rental Trust contracts from March 1999 to December 2000. Kirstie holds an MA (Hons) in History, a Bachelor of Music, and a BA in History, Political Studies, and English, all from the University of Auckland.
