Henrikki Liimatainen

Henrikki Liimatainen is a seasoned academic at the University of Oulu, serving as a Professor and Head of the Research Unit since 2009, with a focus on cellulosic materials, nano- and microcelluloses, and the surface and colloid chemistry of fiber suspensions. Liimatainen has held various positions, including Academy Research Fellow and Docent, and has expertise in cellulose nanomaterials as an Associate Professor. Prior experience includes a post-doctoral project funded by the Academy of Finland and visiting appointments at prestigious institutions such as the Technical University of Denmark and KTH. Liimatainen holds a Dr. (Tech) in Process Engineering and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physical Chemistry, both from the University of Oulu.
