Pietu Halonen

Pietu Halonen is an accomplished music educator and professional with extensive experience in teaching and music-related ventures. Currently serving as a University Teacher at the University of Oulu since September 2021, Pietu specializes in teaching band playing and piano accompaniment skills to future music and early-education teachers. In addition to this role, Pietu has been the CEO of MeSTRADA Oy since 2005, engaging in authorship, audio production, and software development. As the owner of Pietun Pianokoulu, a private music school, Pietu oversees the education of 60-100 students with the support of part-time instructors. Previous positions include serving as a Music Teacher at Kuulammen koulu and various teaching roles at the University of Oulu, alongside owning PH-Musiikki, which provided studio and live-sound services. Pietu holds a Master of Education in Music Education and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering, both from the University of Oulu.
