Pirkko Taskinen

Pirkko Taskinen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in international business development, technology marketing, and ecosystem collaboration, currently serving as the Director of the OIA Water Ecosystem and SuperIoT DIH at the University of Oulu since April 2018. As a Partner and Founder of Lavango Oy since 2012, Pirkko focuses on aiding small and medium-sized companies in expanding their exports and forming international partnerships. Previous roles include Associated Partner at Storvik & Co Oy, Co-founder at Simplofon Ltd, and Senior Manager at Nokia, where Pirkko built strong relationships with major global operators. Pirkko's career began in software engineering at Alcatel, followed by roles at Nokia and LM Ericsson. Educational credentials include an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oulu, along with certifications in board membership and cluster management.
