Ville-Valtteri Visuri is an accomplished academic and researcher currently serving as an Associate Professor, Research Group Leader, and Deputy Head of the Research Unit at the University of Oulu since January 2011. Specialized in "Sustainable Primary Metallurgy of Steelmaking," Ville-Valtteri leads the Primary Metallurgy Research Group focusing on various steelmaking processes, including hot metal pretreatments and electric arc furnaces. As Chair of the Executive Board at the Centre for Advanced Steels Research and an Academy Research Fellow for the Research Council of Finland, Ville-Valtteri aims to advance CO2-lean electric arc furnace steelmaking.
