Hannah Ritchie

Hannah Ritchie serves as the Deputy Editor and Lead Researcher at Our World in Data since May 2017, while simultaneously advancing as a Senior Researcher at the University of Oxford since February 2018. In addition, Hannah Ritchie holds the position of Business Development and Sustainability Manager at 3fbio Ltd. and is pursuing a PhD at the University of Edinburgh, focusing on sustainable protein pathways. Active in various roles since 2015, including corporate sustainability writing for ifu - Institute for Environmental IT Hamburg and news writing for Sustainable Brands, Hannah Ritchie has contributed to numerous sustainability-focused initiatives and research projects, including collaboration within the Newton-Bhabha Virtual Centre on Nitrogen Efficiency and a past internship with the Scotland 2020 Climate Group. With an academic background that includes an MSc in Carbon Management and a BSc in Environmental Geoscience, Hannah Ritchie demonstrates a strong commitment to advancing sustainability through research and innovation.
