Kate O'Connor

Kate O'Connor is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in leadership roles within higher education and communications agencies. Currently serving as Head of Communications for the Social Sciences Division at the University of Oxford, Kate has held various positions since October 2023, including Interim Head and Connected Communications Service Manager. Previously, Kate worked at the Oxford Martin School as Communications and Media Manager and played a pivotal role at Blue Communications in various capacities, including Consultant and Senior Account Manager, delivering strategic communications for notable clients. Early career experiences include roles at CubanEight and the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, where Kate honed skills in media relations and technical copywriting. Kate holds a BA (Hons) in Advertising and Marketing Communications from De Montfort University.
