University of Pennsylvania
Arjun Sengupta is a seasoned researcher with extensive experience in lipidomics and metabolomics. At the University of Pennsylvania, from November 2013 to September 2020, Arjun served as a Senior Research Investigator, focusing on shotgun lipidomics and DESI-MS, and transitioned from a postdoctoral fellow to a Research Associate, exploring metabolic responses to sleep deprivation and disorders. Arjun's postdoctoral work involved developing and applying metabolomics methods using NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. Previously, Arjun was a Visiting Fellow at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, where investigations included NMR spectroscopic studies of metabolic responses to malaria. Arjun holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, completed in January 2013, with additional participation in the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings in 2009.
