Barbara Hewitt

Barbara Hewitt is an accomplished professional in career services, currently serving as the Executive Director of Career Services at the University of Pennsylvania since 1998. In this role, Barbara oversees a centralized office that supports all undergraduate students, alumni, and students from nine professional and graduate schools, managing a staff of 30. Prior to this position, Barbara held the role of Senior Associate Director at the same institution, where career advising expertise was focused on Wharton undergraduate business students. Barbara's earlier career included roles at Dickinson College and The College of Wooster, providing comprehensive career advising and coordinating programs to enhance students' practical work experiences. Educational credentials include an EdD in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania, an MS Ed in Counseling from Shippensburg University, and a BA in Psychology and Spanish from Dickinson College.
