Deirdre Martinez

Deirdre Martinez currently serves as the Executive Director of the Penn in Washington Program at the University of Pennsylvania, a position held since 2005. Prior to this role, Deirdre contributed to legislative efforts as the Legislative Director for Congressman Xavier Becerra from 1994 to 1999 and worked as a Poverty Policy Analyst at UnidosUS from 1992 to 1994. Deirdre earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Education Policy from the University of Pennsylvania between 2003 and 2006 and completed studies at The George Washington University from 1988 to 1990.
