Michael Borda

Michael Borda is an accomplished academic and professional with extensive experience in research and environmental consulting. Currently serving as the Associate Vice Provost for Research and Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives at the University of Pennsylvania since September 2015, Michael Borda previously held leadership positions at Golder Associates, where responsibilities included overseeing the Philadelphia Operations Environmental Remediation and Investigation Group. Prior to that, Michael Borda was a Research Associate at the University of Delaware, leading a team focused on the geochemical and biological aspects of metal cycling in the environment. Michael Borda earned a Ph.D. in Geochemistry from Stony Brook University and a BA in Geology from La Salle University.
