Timothy Hyland

Timothy Hyland is the Executive Director of Communications & Stewardship at Penn Medicine Development & Alumni Relations since April 2021, where leadership and strategic vision are provided for communications and stewardship initiatives. Hyland has extensive experience as a freelance writer since January 1999, with contributions to various publications including Fast Company magazine and The Washington Times. Prior roles include Director of Content & Editorial Strategy at Lehigh University, Executive Director of Publications at Drexel University, and Editor of Wharton Magazine and Penn Current at the University of Pennsylvania. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in American Studies from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Penn State University.
