Zhi Huang

Zhi Huang is an incoming Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, with prior experience as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Stanford University. Zhi has a strong background in advanced machine and deep learning algorithms for medical applications, demonstrated through the development of the "CoxNMF" algorithm during doctoral studies at Purdue University, where Zhi earned a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Previous roles include a research internship at Philips, where Zhi developed an AI-driven forecasting system for cardiac patient management, and a research assistant position at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, where Zhi contributed to a location-based communication app. Zhi holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University, a non-degree exchange in Electronic Engineering from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University.
