Na Du is an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh since September 2021, previously serving as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan from May 2017 to July 2021. Du's research focuses on various aspects of human-automation interaction, with projects including predicting drivers' takeover readiness and designing adaptive in-vehicle alert systems. Additional experience includes internships and research roles at institutions such as Honda Research Institute USA, University at Buffalo, Peking University, York University, and Zhejiang University, covering topics from situational awareness in automated driving to the effects of GPS accuracy on driving performance. Na Du earned a PhD in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Zhejiang University.
