Dr Alexandra Prunean

Dr. Alexandra Prunean is an experienced academic leader currently serving as the Subject Area Leader in PSE, TESOL, English Language and Linguistics, as well as in PSE, ISE & International Education at the University of Portsmouth since June 2022. Prior to this role, Dr. Prunean held the position of Head of Academic Programmes and Quality at Coventry University London International Study Centre, and served as Head of English at the University of Surrey International Study Centre. Additional experience includes roles as Academic Manager at Spinnaker School of English, EAP Tutor at the University of Surrey, and EAP Lecturer at UAB - Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, among others. Dr. Prunean has also contributed to the field as an examiner for FCE & CAE Cambridge Speaking Examinations. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in English Literature (British and Commonwealth) from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and a Master's degree in the same field from the same institution.
