Lucinda King

Lucinda King has a diverse work experience in the fields of space engineering, research, teaching, and project management. Lucinda is currently working as the Space Projects Manager and Mission Design Lead at the University of Portsmouth, where they have established and operates the Space Mission Incubator service. Prior to this, Lucinda worked as a PhD student in Space Engineering at the University of Surrey, focusing on expanding the scope of GNSS reflectometry for Earth observation. Lucinda also has experience working at Airbus Defence and Space, where they held various roles, including Product Studies Engineer, Graduate Future Programmes Engineer, Graduate Advanced Telecoms Payloads Engineer, and Graduate Ground Systems Engineer. Additionally, Lucinda has worked as an Electromagnetic Environmental Effects Trainee Engineer at QinetiQ, a Supermarket Assistant at Waitrose, and a Private Tutor as a freelance professional. Lucinda has also gained teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at The Manor Community School. Lucinda's work experience showcases their expertise in space systems engineering, research, teaching, and project management.

Lucinda King earned a Doctorate in Spacecraft Engineering from the University of Surrey from 2018 to 2022. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Master of Arts (MA) in Natural Sciences Tripos (Experimental and Theoretical Physics) from the University of Cambridge from 2010 to 2013. Lucinda completed their secondary education at Portsmouth High School from 2004 to 2010. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Learning Microsoft Project from LinkedIn in 2022, in 1st IEEE GRSS Instrumentation and Future Technologies Remote Sensing Summer School from IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing (GRSS) in 2019, and in STK Level 1 from AGI (Analytical Graphics, Inc.) in 2018.
