Roger Draheim

Roger Draheim currently holds the position of Associate Head of School for Research and Innovation and Associate Professor in Synthetic Microbiology at the University of Portsmouth, where also serves as a Senior Lecturer in Microbiology. Prior experience includes a Lectureship in Microbiology at Durham University, a Junior Research Group Leader role at Goethe-Universität Frankfurt a. Main, and being an NIH Kirschstein NRSA Fellow at the Stockholm Center for Biomembrane Research. Academic training includes a Ph.D. in Microbiology and dual B.S. degrees in Biochemistry and Microbiology, as well as Molecular and Cellular Biology, all from Texas A&M University and the University of Maine. Draheim has secured significant funding, including NIH support and a grant from Vetenskapsrådet, and has received notable awards for academic excellence.
