Kamal-Deen Ali is an accomplished legal scholar and practitioner specializing in maritime law and security with extensive experience in academia and consulting. Currently serving as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Professional Studies, Accra, and as Team Leader at the Centre for Maritime Law and Security Africa, Kamal-Deen has played a pivotal role in enhancing ocean governance and maritime security across the continent. With a consulting position at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and previous leadership as Director of Research at the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Kamal-Deen's expertise has been utilized in legal reforms and capacity building throughout West Africa. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Law and Maritime Security from the University of Wollongong and an LLM in Maritime Law from the International Maritime Law Institute.
