Richard Dixon

Richard Dixon serves as the Director at CatInsight since September 2016, focusing on catastrophe model validation, evaluation, and research consultancy. Richard has extensive experience in evaluating hurricane models for organizations such as the World Bank and Lloyd's of London, alongside contributions to various studies related to climate risk. Currently, Richard holds a position as Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Reading, collaborating on climate models and risk assessments. Previous roles include Head of Catastrophe Research at Inigo Insurance and Group Head of Catastrophe Research at Hiscox. An educational background includes a PhD in Meteorology from the University of Reading, coupled with professional roles that underscore expertise in windstorm risk and model evaluation.
