Sara Savastano

Sara Savastano currently holds the position of Associate Professor at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, focusing on bridging academia and the professional world to train future economists. Previously, Sara served as the Director of the Research and Impact Assessment Division at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), leading initiatives to transform data into actionable evidence. As a Senior Economist at the World Bank Group, Sara contributed significantly to the Development Research Group, particularly concerning the Enabling the Business of Agriculture indicators. An earlier role as an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" involved extensive research and publication efforts, while Sara's career began as an Economist at the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance, where methodologies for evaluating public investment projects were developed and disseminated. Sara holds a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Rome Tor Vergata and is a graduate of Lycée Chateaubriand.
