Christine Hamilton

Christine Hamilton is the Institutional Research & Assessment Officer at University of Saint Mary. Christine has worked in the field of education for over 10 years, with experience in both public schools and higher education.

Christine began their career as a classroom teacher in the Alamance Burlington School System, where they taught for three years. Christine then transitioned to working in school administration, first as a School Assessment Manager with Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools, and then as an RTT Program Evaluation Specialist with Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. In their role as a Research Analyst for the FOCUS Title III grants at Metropolitan Community College-Kansas City, Christine developed and maintained a system for organizing and reporting data, produced systematic reports to support annual performance report and institutional decision-making, and collaborated with the grant team, administrators, faculty, and staff to prepare, disseminate, and interpret pilot data.

Christine is passionate about using data to inform decision-making and improve outcomes for students. In their current role as Institutional Research & Assessment Officer at University of Saint Mary, they are responsible for coordinating all institutional research and assessment activities. Christine works closely with administrators, faculty, and staff to develop and implement assessment plans that support the university’s strategic goals.

Christine Hamilton holds a Master of Science in Educational Research Methodology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Emory & Henry College, and a High School Diploma from Chatham Hall.

They are on a team with and Gwen Landever - Academic Dean, Associate Professor in Education. Christine Hamilton reports to Michelle Metzinger, Provost & VP, Academic Affairs.
