Daniel Dillabough

Vice President, Mission and Ministry at University of San Diego

Monsignor Dillabough has served as vice president of University Mission and Ministry at the University of San Diego since 1998. In 2004, he accepted the additional position of vice president of University Relations. Monsignor returned to University Mission and Ministry full-time in 2006.

Monsignor Dillabough has a long association with the university as a pastoral leader, advisor, guest lecturer, and alumnus. He has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 1990. He has served the Diocese of San Diego in numerous capacities: as Chancellor, Moderator of Diocesan Offices, Vocations director, director of clergy personnel, director of Temporal Affairs, and Judicial Vicar.

Monsignor Dillabough was ordained in 1974 at St. Peter’s in Vatican City. He received the Prelate of Honor in 1988. Msgr. Dillabough has earned a B.A. in philosophy from the University of San Diego, a B.A. in sacred theology from the Gregorian University, a J.C.L. on canon law from the Gregorian University, and a S.T.D. in moral theology from the Lateran University.
