Luis Enrique Bazan is an experienced educator and scholar currently serving as the Associate Director for Immersions and an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Francisco since 2007. Bazan teaches courses on Contemporary Moral Issues, Global Education, and Global Citizenship and Engagement. Previous roles include Associate Director for Global Social Justice and Community Action at Sojourners Magazine and Research Associate for the Religion and Immigration Project at the University of San Francisco. With a strong focus on the intersection of faith and social issues, Bazan's research included studying the role of religion among Latino immigrant communities. Bazan holds a Doctorate in Knowledge and Culture from Instituto Pensamiento y Cultura en América Latina, a Doctor of Education in Organization and Leadership, and a Master of Arts in Theology and Religious Studies from the University of San Francisco, along with a Bachelor of Education from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
