Thomas Kurtz

Thomas Kurtz currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Music at the University of San Francisco and as a Lecturer at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. In addition to these academic roles, Thomas is the Marketing & Communications Manager for the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra. Previous experience includes positions as a Cultural Arts Research Consultant for the City of Austin, Professor of Music at Alamo Colleges District, Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin, and Adjunct Professor of Music at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, among others. Thomas holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Music and a Portfolio Program in Cultural Arts Management and Entrepreneurship from The University of Texas at Austin, as well as a Master of Music in Saxophone Performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Bachelor of Music from Montclair State University.
