Candice Weingartner

Candice Weingartner is the Director, Enterprise Solutions at University of Saskatchewan. Candice has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry, including 10 years in senior management roles.

Candice started their career as a software developer and quickly moved into project management. Candice spent several years at Federated Co-operatives Limited, where they eventually became the Director of the Project Management Office. In this role, they were responsible for leading a team of project managers and for ensuring that projects were delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

In 2018, Candice left Federated Co-operatives to join Sherpa ERP as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer. At Sherpa, they were responsible for building the governing structures and processes for the company, as well as for creating and implementing the company's product delivery, release management, and architectural platform development strategies. Candice also led the primary product migration from a monolithic architecture to a modern micro-services based architecture.

Candice has a proven track record of delivering successful projects and driving innovation within organizations. Candice is a strategic thinker with a passion for problem solving and a commitment to excellence.

Candice Weingartner has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Regina. Candice also has certification from the Management and Strategy Institute in Change Management Specialist (CMS) and Six Sigma Lean Professional (SSLP). Lastly, they have certification from The Open Group in TOGAF 9.

They are on a team with Timothy Beke - Director, Total Rewards, Jon Coller - Director & Chief Information Security Officer, IT Security, Risk & Compliance, and Shari Baraniuk - AVP, ICT & CIO. Candice Weingartner reports to Peter Stoicheff, President & Vice-Chancellor.
