Bill le Blanc

Bill Le Blanc has over 30 years of work experience in various leadership and executive roles in the information technology sector. Bill is currently serving as the Director on the Board of Directors at SABRENet Limited, a broadband network company in South Australia. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Information Officer (Library and IT) at the University of South Australia, where they led a team of 300 professionals and played a pivotal role in the amalgamation of UniSA with the University of Adelaide.

Before their role at the University, Le Blanc held the position of Head of Technology at ElectraNet Pty Ltd, where they led the areas of Information Technology, Operational Technology, and Telecommunications in the electricity utilities sector.

Le Blanc has also held significant leadership roles at SA Health, where they served as the Executive Director and CIO, overseeing all aspects of ICT across the entire organization. Bill was responsible for leading a division of 700 ICT professionals and managing large budgets.

Prior to their roles at SA Health, Le Blanc gained experience in sales and consulting positions at Electronic Data Systems and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. Bill also founded their own consulting company, Le Blanc Consulting Pty Ltd, specializing in ICT business analysis and providing database consultancy services.

Le Blanc began their career as an Analyst Programmer at Flinders Medical Centre before transitioning to a Sales Support Consultant role at Digital Equipment Corporation.

Throughout their career, Le Blanc has demonstrated expertise in technology leadership, strategic planning, project management, and financial management.

Bill Le Blanc received their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Statistics from Flinders University from 1981 to 1984. Bill later pursued a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on General Management from the University of South Australia between 2008 and 2010. In 2016, they attended the Australian Institute of Company Directors for a program in Company Directorship.
