Kirsty Creek has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations and roles. Kirsty'smost recent position was as the Deputy Director of the UniSA Research Office, Operations at the University of South Australia, starting in November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at the Australian Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment, where they held various roles, including Acting Director of Traveller Policy and Reform, FMD Taskforce, from June 2022 to November 2022, and Director of Research and Innovation from January 2008 to June 2022. Kirsty also worked as an Innovation Manager at the Antarctic Science Foundation from December 2021 to June 2022.

Kirsty Creek has a varied education history with multiple degrees and diplomas. Kirsty obtained a Bachelor of International Relations from Flinders University in 2008 and went on to earn a Masters of International Development from the same institution between 2009 and 2013, focusing on Gender and Food Security. In 2014-2015, Kirsty Creek pursued a Diploma of Project Management at the Australian Institute of Management. Continuing their education, they completed a Nano degree in Digital Marketing from Udacity in 2021, specializing in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia. Kirsty also pursued studies in Design Thinking, obtaining a degree in Design thinking in Innovation from RMIT University in 2021. Moreover, they acquired a Certificate in Government Administration from the Australian Public Service in 2008. Lastly, in 2021, they enrolled in a Nano degree in Website Development at Udacity, focusing on Web Page, Digital/Multimedia, and Information Resources Design.
