Nathan Smith

Nathan Smith currently serves as the Head Coach for SCUFC Bantams in USL 2 and as an Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at the University of South Carolina. Prior experience includes roles as MLS Next Team Lead and Head Coach at IMG Academy, and as Academy Manager & Academy Head Coach at Atlanta United FC, where Nathan developed and implemented a Homegrown development program. Nathan also held the position of USSDA Director at Vardar Soccer Club, where a complete transformation of the Development Academy culture was achieved. Additional coaching experience spans high school and college programs, including leading teams to national tournaments and implementing training methodologies. Nathan holds a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Sport Science with a minor in Coaching Dynamics from the University of Wisconsin-Superior and has further education from the United States Soccer Federation and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
