Qian Wang

Qian Wang is a distinguished academic in the field of chemistry, currently serving as the Chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of South Carolina since August 2003. In addition to this role, Qian Wang holds titles as Carolina Distinguished Professor and Robert L. Sumwalt Professor in Chemistry, having progressed from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor within the department. Prior to joining the University of South Carolina, Qian Wang was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at The Scripps Research Institute from 1999 to 2003 and at the University of Lausanne from 1997 to 1999. Qian Wang earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Tsinghua University, where a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry was also obtained.
