Robert Demuth is an experienced laboratory manager and researcher specializing in nuclear engineering. Currently serving as the Laboratory Manager at the University of South Carolina since December 2019, Robert manages spent nuclear fuel drying operations and oversees the training of graduate and undergraduate students. Previous experience includes significant contributions as an undergraduate researcher in advanced nuclear materials and waste management. Robert also interned as a Fuel Rod Design Intern at Westinghouse Electric Company, where considerable analysis was conducted on end plug weld integrity. In earlier roles, Robert gained diverse experiences, including coordinating community activities as a summer intern at Messiah Lutheran Church and managing landscaping and handyman services. Robert holds a Bachelor's of Science in Aerospace Engineering, along with a minor in Nuclear Engineering, and is pursuing both a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Nuclear Engineering at the University of South Carolina.
