Michelle Harvey

Michelle Harvey, M.A., currently serves as the Director of Student Engagement at the University of South Dakota since July 2024. Prior to this role, Michelle held various positions at Minnesota State University, Mankato, as Assistant Director from December 2022 to July 2024, and at Augustana University (SD) from August 2014 to December 2022, where Michelle progressed from Assistant Director of Campus Life for Student Engagement to Associate Director and ultimately Director of Student Engagement. Additional experience includes positions at Western Illinois University as Assistant Director for Leadership & Service, Brevard College as Assistant Dean of Students and Director of the Center for Multicultural & Service Initiatives, Appalachian State University as Resident Director, and Buena Vista University as Residence Hall Director. Michelle earned a Master's degree in College Student Development from Appalachian State University and a Bachelor's degree in English Writing and Mathematics from Morningside University.
