Adrian Bodenmann

Adrian Bodenmann is a Senior Research Assistant at the University of Southampton since October 2017, where notable contributions include the development of a seafloor mapping device achieving a technical readiness level of 8, capable of operating at depths of 4000m under high pressure. Adrian has implemented device control software using C++ and established communication protocols while also creating electronic circuits and safety protocols for laser-equipped devices. Additionally, Adrian has operated mapping instruments on research vessels, developed advanced software for 3D data processing, and processed data for various institutions. Prior to this role, Adrian served as a Project Researcher at The University of Tokyo, developing visual 3D mapping methods for the seafloor. Educational qualifications include dual Master's degrees in Microtechnology Engineering from EPFL and The University of Tokyo, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Microtechnology Engineering from EPFL.
